Searching
🔍Simple search looks through filenames, cleaned titles, folders, dates, and media type.
＆AND search uses spaces: grandma beach matches both words.
｜OR search uses a pipe: hawaii | cruise matches either term.
Browsing
📅The year filter uses memory dates parsed from filenames. Use Years On/Off in the toolbar to show or hide year headers while browsing or searching.
🏷️Active filters appear as removable chips under the toolbar.
📂Click a folder pill on any card to jump into that folder.
Performance
⚡The grid expects generated photo thumbnails in _thumbs/ and video preview JPGs beside videos. Run generate_thumbnails.py from the archive root after adding photos or videos.
⌨️Press / to focus search, Esc to close panels, and arrow keys in the viewer to move between memories.
Tip: keep the original photos and videos in place. The thumbnail generator adds optimized photo thumbnails under _thumbs/ and video preview images named _thumb.jpg; it does not overwrite your originals.
